Bearizona Wildlife Park Bearizona Wildlife Park
Bearizona is a wildlife park featuring an array of North American animals. Visitors experience a scenic, two-mile drive in their own vehicle or coach witnessing burros, bison, wolves, dall and big horn sheep, and of course black bears, all in natural environments. The park also hosts Fort Bearizona, a separate walk-thru area, located directly after the drive through portion of the park. Visitors leisurely stroll through winding walkways to get an up-close look at the antics of baby and smaller animals on exhibit. There is plenty to do and see within the fort walls:
• Witness the amazing birds of prey free-flight show
• Visit the Bearizona Barnyard petting zoo
• Visit the gift shop and concession areas
Bearizona is an adventure!

Meteor Crater Visitor Center
Meteor Crater Visitor Center
Experience the first proven and best preserved meteorite impact site on earth.
EXPERIENCE THE IMPACT!!
Meteor Crater News.
Meteor Crater has just completed the paving of the guided rim trail. The rim trail takes visitors out ½ mile and back, accompanied by one of their informative guides. The guides make numerous stops along the rim to talk about the crater’s history, from the asteroid belt, to the discovery of the crater by Daniel Barringer, as well as more current history of all the different movies that have been filmed here.
In the past, to go out with the guide they required guests to wear a completely enclosed shoe. Now you can join them in any type of shoe. The tours are available daily, weather permitting, from 9:15 AM to 2:15 PM every hour. They meet at the top of the stairs by the largest meteorite fragment discovered, The Holsinger meteorite. It weighs 1406 pounds and you can get up close and touch this awesome rock made up of 92% iron and 7% nickel.
Visiting Meteor Crater in the fall is one of the best times of year. The temperatures are perfect for a guided hike or just to go outside the Discovery Center and sit on one of the benches right on the rim and soak up some sunshine while taking in the beauty of this first proven and best preserved meteorite impact site on earth.. You can also grab a Subway sandwich and head to Astronaut Park to enjoy the weather. So if it has been a while since you visited Meteor Crater or you have never been, now is the time to come out and see this magnificent crater and our new rim trail.
